"What is new for this year?"--- you ask. We have added more cash payouts -- thats right this year we are going to pay out the top five players in the regular season and the top two players in the playoff season as well as the $20.00 each week to the player that finishes with the most points. Each week you will have a chance to win $20.00 --- or your entry fee back (If paid by the the start of the season --- other wise you will be assesed a $5.00 delay of game penalty and your entry fee will be $25.00.)There are two weeks back to back where only two games are played, these weeks will be combined and the winner will be decided by total points for both weeks. At the end of the season we will pay out 2/3 of the left over entry fee money to the top 5 players of the regular season with 1/3 slated to go to the top two players of the playoffs. Here is a breakdown of the payouts --- REGULAR SEASON: 1st place 50%, 2nd place 25%, 3rd place 15%, 4th place 10% and 5th place your entry fee is paid back. PLAYOFFS: 1st place 65% and second place 35%.
Still in place, if you enter & pay for two teams --- we will give you another team at no charge --- that is right --- pay for two teams but enter three!

You can join and play the preseason which is of course only for practice and your points for preseason will not show up in the standings. It does give you a chance to see how the CFL might differ from the other pools you play here, or elsewhere on the internet.
Membership
Membership is $20 for the entire season. You can pay by paypal by clicking the link on the picksheet when you go to play (you will see it near the submit button) or if you know Pete or Hans personally, you can pay them in person.
Please pay on time (which is before the the first regular season game --- if not a $5.00 delay of game penalty will be assest and your entry fee will be $25.00), and help get the prize chest organized. If payemt has not been received by the start of the 3rd week of the regular season, you will be dropped from the pool --- no exceptions.

THE POINTS SYSTEM
The picks system is similar to the SFP, but for those of you who have not played the SFP, it works like this. Each week, the favorite in each game is pegged, and a spread is put up along with it. Point values are then assigned based on risk. To cover the spread, (FC ? Favorite Cover) would mean that if the favorite wins the game, and covers the spread, the point value would be awarded to you. Win but not cover (F ? Favorite Win) would mean that the favorite won the game, but could not cover the spread. This can be a highly rewarding point value if the spread is fairly skinny. The outcome most often the largest point value is the underdog pick (U ? Underdog wins the game). In the event the underdog wins, the points are awarded in relation to how large the spread was. In the case of larger spreads, the point values can be huge!
BONUS POINTS
Each game comes with extra points should you be able to accurately, or at least semi accurately predict the score. If you pick the score bang-on, you will receive 10 bonus points. After that, you lose a point for every point you are off from the total for the game. At being 10 points away, the bonus evaporates!
